This message/plea is addressed to the Department of Transportation or the City of Salisbury, whichever is responsible for an answer.

About three or four years ago, residents on Newsome Road were told that our road was to be repaved with possible bike lanes added in the near future. Well, this hasn’t happened and the road is now in much worse condition.

You don’t have to go to the Faith celebration and pay for a bumpy, rugged ride. Just drive down Newsome Road and be prepared to put your tires and car through a terrible obstacle course.

The recent repaving of Bringle Ferry Road, however, looks and rides great. Also, the added sidewalks are an improvement, even though I believe they will rarely be used.

Whoever is responsible for the Newsome Road Project being overlooked or delayed,  please help soon! Thank you.
