Rowan weather: More storms possible

Today’s storms could become severe again, with more damaging winds and hail possible.

We’re starting out with patchy fog until around 9, then it will be partly sunny and just 82. Winds will be from the northeast at 3-7 mph. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will be 50 percent, with a tenth to quarter inch of rain expected.

Tonight’s chance of showers and storms will be 40 percent, with cloudy skies and a low of 67. Northeast wind will again be at 3-7 mph. Expect patchy fog to form around 3 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Wednesday will start off with patchy fog, then become mostly cloudy, with a high of 87. There will be a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with less than a tenth of an inch of rain expected. Winds will be calm in the morning, then shift to the south southwest in the afternoon, around 6 mph.

Wednesday night will have a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, too, mostly before 7 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 71, with south southwest wind at 3-6 mph.

Thursday, the heat is back, with a high of 92 under mostly sunny skies. Winds will be west northwest at 3-8 mph. The low will be 71, with mostly clear skies.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be hot and humid, with sunny skies.

Friday’s high will be 94, with a low of 72.

Saturday will be 93, with another low around 72.

Sunday will have a high of 94 and a low of 73.

Monday brings a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, but it will be mostly sunny and 93.
