Rowan County is under a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. this morning.

It will be a mostly sunny day with a high of 89 and light southwest wind increasing to 6-11 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible after 2 p.m.

Tonight, the chance of showers and storms will be 40 percent, with a low of 70 and south southwest wind at 5-7 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible. Patchy fog will form around 3 a.m.

Saturday will start with fog and then become mostly sunny and 89. There will be more southwest wind at 7-11 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. A 20 percent chance of showers is possible.

Saturday night will have a 20 percent chance of showers and storms, with a low of 70 and southwest wind at 5-7 mph.

Sunday will have a 20 percent chance of showers in the morning, then thunderstorms are possible later. it will be mostly sunny and 92, with west southwest wind at 5-9 mph. The chance of rain Sunday night is 40 percent, with a low of 71.

Monday will be mostly sunny and 90, with a 30 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m. Monday night will be partly cloudy and 68.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 86, with a low of 66.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 88, with a low of 69.
