SALISBURY — Ronny Lee Pierce, 49, was arrested by Salisbury police Monday on child sex charges.

Pierce was apprehended near the Hefner VA Medical Center and charged with indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape or sex offense with a child 15 or younger.

He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond. He has no criminal record in North Carolina.

• An assault was reported Monday in the 500 block of East Innes Street.

• A burglary was reported Monday in the 400 block of West Franklin Street

• Burlee Tobias Kersey was charged Monday with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance.

• Kenneth Wayne Shephard was charged Monday with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• A man reported a burglary Friday in the 1400 block of Liberty Road, Gold Hill.

• Deputies seized drugs Friday at the intersection of Stokes Ferry and Old Beatty Ford roads, Gold Hill.

• A man reported an assault with a dangerous weapon Friday in the 2700 block of Bringle Ferry Road.

• A man reported that two ATVs were stolen Friday in the 200 block of Mahaffey Drive.

• Deputies seized drug paraphernalia Friday in the 1900 block of N.C. 153, China Grove.

• A woman reported items stolen from her car Friday in the 200 block of Hope Lane.

• A woman reported an assault Friday in the 1100 block of Hartman Avenue.

• Grahams 4×4 LLC in Kannapolis reported that a vehicle’s wheels were stolen Friday.

• A woman reported the theft of a car Friday in the 2800 block of Cannon Farm Road, China Grove.

• A woman reported a larceny Friday in the 400 block of Backwoods Lane, China Grove.

• A woman reported that a vehicle was stolen Friday in the 1000 block of Gaddy Mobile Home Drive, Kannapolis.

• A woman reported items stolen from a vehicle Friday in the 100 block of Riles Creek Access, Richfield.

• A woman reported items stolen from a vehicle Saturday in the 4500 block of Mooresville Road.

• A woman reported items stolen from a vehicle Saturday in the 1300 block of Julius Drive.

• A man reported a robbery Saturday in the 2000 block of West C Street, Kannapolis.

• A woman reported an assault with a dangerous weapon Saturday in the 100 block of Hawkins Loop.

• A man reported a burglary Sunday in the 900 block of Union Church Road.

• A woman reported an assault Sunday in the 2200 block of Cannon Farm Road, China Grove.

• A woman reported an assault by gun Sunday in the 100 block of Overbrook Road.

• A woman reported an assault Sunday in the 1200 block of Partee Lane, China Grove.

• Brittany Leigh Lewis, 30, was charged Friday with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Jordan Leon Wilson, 21, was charged Friday with felony larceny.

• Donovan Frank Dockery, 17, was charged Friday with larceny of a motor vehicle.

• Mary Beth Morgan, 35, was charged Friday with nonsupport of child.

• Andy Lee Thompson, 42, was charged Friday with trafficking in drugs.

• Karena Micheele Harwood, 42, was charged Friday with felony conspiracy.

• Alvin Lashawn Somerville, 37, was charged Friday with ABC revenue violations.

• Gregory Allen Ogara, 31, was charged Friday with breaking and entering.

• Joshua Allen Smith, 35, was charged Friday with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance.

• Sandra Louise Lushbaugh, 45, was charged Friday with transferring price tags between goods.

• Colin Lee Patterson, 55, was charged Friday with cruelty to animals.

• Nicholas Dwayne Brockington, 23, was charged Friday with disorderly conduct.

• Kelly Dean Foy, 50, was charged Saturday with being a habitual felon.

• Cordera Rayshard Brown, 30, was charged Saturday with discharging a firearm into occupied property.

• Kelly J. Standish, 35, was charged Saturday with cyberstalking.

• Deandra Daimon Crawford, 24, was charged Saturday with discharging a firearm into occupied property.

• Robert Allen Roach, 42, was charged Sunday with assault on a female.

• Kristy Michele Toney, 37, was charged Sunday with simple assault.

• Nolan Kiel Graves, 19, was charged Sunday with assault with a deadly weapon.

• Nick Brannon Walters, 31, was charged Sunday with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
