According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, as part of the Interstate 85 widening project, on Monday, June 18 the contractor will temporarily close Power Street at its connection with N.C. 152 for realignment of the intersection.

Officials said access to Ketchie Estates Road as well as all businesses and driveways along Power Street will remain open throughout the closure. All traffic from N.C. 152 may detour the closure using the loop onto U.S. 29 south and access Power Street from U.S. 29.

This work is expected to be complete by July 7.
