“Tirade and tantrum,” Steve and Cokie Roberts’ column published June 9, looked at the tantrums and how this is really messing with our relationship with our allies. Yet Trump forges ahead with his his love affair with Russia’s Putin and shady doings with China. It is difficult to understand how his followers cannot see that he is beholden to Putin for some reason.

Whether you call the United States of America a democracy or a republic, there is no assurance that it will continue. The underpinnings of the very foundations of this once great nation are being pounded away. Every day more and more bad things are happening to undermine this country that are being covered up by the constant media blitz Trump brings about.

Yes, the Mueller investigation is looking into many of these things and has already uncovered much criminal activity. But every day more and more keeps happening, and Trump is trying to undermine the investigation to get the public to falsely believe the justice system is faulty. Will this come to an end in time to save our once great republic/democracy?

The USA has lost much of its standing in the world and is fast losing our strongest allies. I hope and pray it ends soon, before it is truly too late.
