Rowan weather: Very warm and getting warmer

The heat will return later today and climb into the 90s by early next week.

Cloudy skies will become partly sunny, with a high of 86. Winds will be southwest at 5-8 mph. It is a Code Yellow air quality day, meaning unusually sensitive groups will be affected.

Tonight, we’ll have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., and a low of 70. Winds will be from the west southwest at 3-6 mph.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and 89, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between noon and 4 p.m. Wind will be north northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Thursday night will be partly cloudy and 67.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 87, with northwest wind at 5-7 mph. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible Friday night, mainly between 9 p.m. and midnight. The low will be 67.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and hot, with a high of 89. A 30 percent chance of showers is possible before 8 p.m. The low will be 69.

Sunday brings a high of 91 with mostly sunny skies and a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms between noon and 3 p.m. Sunday night will be partly cloudy and 71.

Monday will also have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and be mostly sunny with a hot high of 92. The low will be a sticky 73.

Tuesday, too, has the same 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly sunny and even hotter, with a high of 94.
