Letter: Limbs should not be put in street

Published 12:00 am Sunday, June 10, 2018

Prompted by the letter reminding citizens of the statute, ordinances and dangers of discharging grass clippings, etc., into a public lane of travel (“Keep streets clear of grass clippings, June 6), the citizens of Salisbury need reminding of the practice of placing their leaves and tree limbs at (to) the curb for removal, not into the curb, halfway covering the street on their side of the road. Some residential streets are narrow and some park cars along the curb, and a car meeting a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction creates a hazard. Thank you for being considerate.
