Woman robs Enochville Dollar General; takes cash, beer, other items

ENOCHVILLE — A woman walked into the Dollar General store in Enochville and told the clerk she had a gun in a bag.

She walked out with cash, beer and other items, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

The armed robbery occurred about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at the store, located at 105 Deal Road.

The robber was described as a white woman with brown hair pulled into a ponytail. She wore a burgundy shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

She told two store employees to go to the back of the store while she opened the register to take cash.

The woman also took two cans of Coca-Cola, two packs of L&M cigarettes, a pack of Winston cigarettes and two cans of Bud Light beer.

Authorities say they had been unable to determine how she arrived at the store and how she left.

No arrest had been made by Thursday.

No one was injured during the robbery.
