SALISBURY — There will soon be a second Domino’s Pizza restaurant in Salisbury.

Osman Qasim, who owns the Salisbury Domino’s as well as 51 other locations, purchased Avalon Plaza Shopping Center through his company, Team Carolinas, earlier this year.

Suzanne Swidler, property manager for Juniper Properties — which is also owned by Team Carolinas — said the company will open a new Domino’s Pizza where Firewater Restaurant and Lounge used to be.

Firewater closed about a month ago.

Swidler said the company will remodel and refurbish the shopping center.

“It will be in done in a first-class manner with very modern feel,” Swidler said.

Swidler said Juniper Properties owns more than 10 properties across the Team Carolinas coverage area.

Swidler said more details about the shopping center and the Domino’s location would be available in the next month, once construction on the shopping center begins.
