In my opinion, the Jim Sides and Craig Pierce involvement in Rowan County politics has come to an end. Both are self-evident — Sides having lost the last two primaries as he has, and Pierce, having taken such a defeat Tuesday.

Pierce, has made himself a lame duck commissioner with his showing. The prudent thing for him to do is resign and go back to what he did before. Never met him but understand politics had a negative impact on someone who prior had a good standing in the community.

Sides should go back to Bible College and move to an area where he is not know, and become a minister of the word. Only after driving his van into High Rock Lake.
