“Seasons of Love” will be presented twice by the Salisbury-Rowan Choral Society in Salisbury
• Friday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at First United Church of Christ, 207 West Horah St.;
• and Sunday, May 6 at 4 p.m. at Milford Hills United Methodist Church, 1630 Statesville Blvd.
Musical selections feature various expressions of love. Several songs reflect couple love: “I Love You/What a Wonderful World,” “Send in the Clowns,” and a ballad “I Love My Love” by Gustav Holst.
Recent popular songs include Billy Joel’s “ And So It Goes” and Elton John’s “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King.
A love of Chopin’s music is expressed in three original compositions by choral member Camry Wingler. There is even a number for Star Wars enthusiasts.
Dustin Shelton and George Mobley share directing duties while Kay Peeler accompanies.
This concert, supported by the Rowan Arts Council and the North Carolina Arts Council celebrating 50 years, is funded by the state of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts. Come enjoy a free spring concert of love songs!
