Today: Fairview Heights at Brightmoor
The Outreach Ministry of Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Road, will be at Brightmoor Nursing Home, 610 W. Fisher St., today at 2 p.m. Speaker: Evangelist Shelia Bush, associate minister of Fairview Heights.

Today: Providence AME Zion 12 Tribes program
Providence AME Zion Church will host a Twelve Tribes of Israel Celebration today at 3 p.m. on the theme of “Jesus is Real.”

Today: Antioch Missionary Rainbow Tea
Today at 5 p.m. at Stallings Memorial Baptist Church, 812 S. Main St. in the Rhyne Bldg., Antioch Missionary Baptist will host a Rainbow Tea with guest speaker Rev. John Leazer, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church of Concord, with music by the Macedonia choir. Tickets are available for a donation of $10. Rev. Rickey Johnson is host pastor.

Today: First Calvary Baptist Gospel Explosion
First Calvary Baptist Church, 400 S. Long St., is hosting a Gospel Music Explosion today at 5 p.m. in memory of its founder, the late Charles McGee, who sponsored the event annually as a part of First Calvary’s Gospel Choir Anniversary Celebration.
McGee was known for his ministry through music. Program participants this year include Echoes for Christ, Truthful Praise, Fairview Gospel Choir, Keith Holland and Friends-N-Christ, and Messengers for Christ.
As a member of First Calvary, McGee served on the Deacon and Trustee Boards, and was a member of the Men’s, Adult and Gospel choirs. He worked with youth sports leagues and received the Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Humanitarian Award.
This annual tribute is free and family friendly. Rev. Leamon E. Brown is host pastor.

Today: China Grove Church of God
CHINA GROVE — At 7 p.m. today, China Grove Church of God, 413 Franklin St., is hosting Kindred Spirit Ministries with Margaret Whichard.
Revival at China Grove Church of God begins Sunday evening at 6 p.m. and continues Monday through Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. with speaker Rev. Johnathan Whichard.

5th Sunday at Bethel Evangelical
Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 East Ridge Road, will have an infant baptism during the worship service on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. There will be a Fifth Sunday Fellowship meal immediately following the service.

Mens’ Day at Shady Grove
EAST SPENCER —Shady Grove Baptist Church will celebrate its annual Men’s Day on Sunday at 11 a.m. Rev. Arthur Heggins, retired pastor of St. Luke Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Weaver at Mt Tabor’s 5th Sunday
Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, just north of Ellis Park on Old Mocksville Road, hosts a 5th Sunday Sing with Matthew Weaver and Clay Lunsford. Worship is at 11 a.m. A covered dish luncheon will follow.

Annual service Historic St. George’s
WOODLEAF — The Annual Service at Historic St. George’s Episcopal Church, 9170 Cool Springs Road, is at 2 p.m. Sunday.
St. George’s was designated a historic church in 2007 by the Episcopal Diocese of NC. From 1893-1906, St. George’s was a chapel of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Woodleaf (established in 1840). The church was built in 1893 and remodeled in 1928.

Initial sermon preached at Boxwood
MOCKSVILLE — Deacon Justis Harris will be delivering his initial trial sermon on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Boxwood Missionary Baptist Church, 299 Boxwood Church Road. Rev. G. Milton is host pastor.

Word of Life ordination service
On Sunday, at 3 p.m. Word of Life Family Worship Center, 726 East Liberty St., will have an ordination and licensing service. Certificates of recognition will also be given to those recognized as Church Mothers and will join the Word of Life Family Worship Center Mother’s Board.

CONCORD — The Piedmont Singing Men will be in concert on Sunday at United Love Baptist Church on Flowe’s Store Road at 5 p.m.

Luther’s Lutheran
RICHFIELD — Luther’s Lutheran Church, at the corner of Stokes Ferry and Richfield Roads, will host Family night on Sunday beginning at 5 p.m. featuring a movie and a meal, at the church.
Guest speaker at the Sunday morning service will be Pastor Jeffrey Hoffner.

5th Sunday at Franklin Baptist
Franklin Baptist Church 3810 Hwy 60l, will host on Sunday at 6 p.m. its fifth Sunday night singing. The Gray Connection will be singing and playing instruments which include the mandolin, guitar, banjo, and bass fiddle. Pastor Mike Motley of Trading Ford Baptist Church is a member of this group and will be playing the guitar.

ERHS Chorus at St. Matthews Lutheran
St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 9275 Bringle Ferry Road, presents the East Rowan High School’s Honors Chorus in concert on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Revival at Union Chapel

National Day of Prayer
