Rowan weather: More rain and clouds

Last night’s rain left its mark, with large puddles along the roads and some flooding in low-lying areas..

Tonight will be partly cloudy and 51, with northwest wind at 3-7 mph. Expect patchy fog to form around 5 a.m.

Thursday will have a 40 percent chance of precipitation, with thunderstorms possible after 5 p.m. Patchy fog will dissipate before 7 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 70, with north northeast wind around 5 mph in the afternoon. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, except in thunderstorms, which may have higher totals.

The chance of rain and thunderstorms goes up to 60 percent Thursday night. It will be mostly cloudy and 53, with up to a quarter inch of rain, or more in thunderstorms.

Friday will be partly sunny, but with a 30 percent chance of showers. The high will be 70, with west northwest wind at 3-6 mph. Even Friday night has a 20 percent chance of showers, with cloudy skies and a low of 50.

But the weekend and early next week show promise.
