Letter: Ag teachers are resourceful
I want to a take a few minutes to brag on the Rowan County agriculture teachers. This wonderful, resourceful and motivated group of teachers, orchestrated the first annual Discover Ag Day at Piedmont Research Station.
I was so impressed with the level of professionalism exhibited by not only the ag. teachers, but also the students. As an outsider looking in, I saw a tremendous commitment to excellence. The event was extremely well organized and delivered content suitable to the 4th grade audience. I was very proud of this group accomplishment.
Keep up the good work and continue to support the agriculture curriculum. If we do not teach the next generation how to grow food, we no longer eat.
