Gold Hill couple killed in West Virginia traffic collision

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — A Gold Hill couple were killed in a traffic collision April 18 while traveling in Logan County, West Virginia.

Carlos Lowe, 67, and his wife, Thelma Lowe, 66, were traveling in their Buick Century when they collided with a pickup, according to West Virginia media reports.

The couple died in the wreck, which occurred about 4 p.m. when they pulled onto U.S. 119 from Old Logan Road, West Virginia State Police officials said.

A passenger in the couple’s vehicle was injured and taken to a hospital.

Troopers believe the truck had the right of way. It’s driver, Bruce Fleming of Logan County, was not seriously injured.

The investigation into the crash continues.

The Lowes were both natives of Henlawson, W.Va.

They have a daughter, Amanda Lowe, who lives in Salisbury.
