- Salisbury Post file photo This photograph of the File Store on Bringle Ferry Road was taken in 1974. Today, the store building, which was moved to Gold Hill in 2000, serves as home for Buckle & Bell.
This December 1974 photograph from the Salisbury Post library shows the File Store, which once stood along Bringle Ferry Road in the Craven community. The structure, built in 1906 by A.M. Eller, was operated for 52 years of its existence by Lee and Olivia File. The old store was moved to the historic Gold Hill village in 2000. For several years, it housed an antiques store before reopening during the past year as Buckle & Bell, located at 1045 Back St. in the Gold Hill village.
