Thanks to Hudson for supporting Alzheimers bill

One in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s disease. As the only leading cause of death in the U.S. that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed, it is imperative that we have elected officials who are working to make Alzheimer’s a national priority.

As an Alzheimer’s Association advocate, I was fortunate to meet with Congressman Richard Hudson’s staff to discuss the staggering impact of Alzheimer’s disease in North Carolina and across the nation. In a meeting at his district office, my fellow advocates and I shared our own personal experience with this devastating disease. We implored Congressman Hudson to be a champion in Congress for the 170,000 North Carolinians living with Alzheimer’s.

I am proud to share that Hudson has agreed to co-sponsor the BOLD (Building Our Largest Dementia) Infrastructure for Alzheimer’s Act, pushing Congress to finally treat Alzheimer’s disease like the public health crisis it really is. As a current caregiver, the congressman’s support means everything.

Please join me in thanking Congressman Richard Hudson for his support in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.
