Enjoy today and tomorrow, because Sunday looks like the wrath of spring will descend.

Today will be sunny and 78, but still windy, with winds from the south southwest at 7-15 mph and gusts up to 24 mph.

Tonight will be partly cloudy and 57, with south wind around 9 mph.

Saturday night will be mostly cloudy and 62, with south wind at 7-9 mph. There will be a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 2 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch is expected.

Sunday is the day to be cautious. A strong cold front will pass through the area with damaging winds, showers and thunderstorms, hail and a few brief tornadoes.

In addition, high rainfall totals in severe thunderstorms could produce flash flooding in the area. It’s going to be a good day to stay home and monitor weather reports.

The chance of precipitation Sunday is 90 percent, with mostly showers before 1 p.m., then thunderstorms in the afternoon. It will be 76 degrees, with south wind at 9-16 mph, gusting to 26 mph, except higher in severe thunderstorms.

Sunday night’s chance of showers and storms is 80 percent, with a low of 49.

Monday will be mostly sunny, but quite a bit cooler, with a high of just 61. The low will be 38.

Tuesday will be sunny and 65, with a low of 44.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 76, with a warm low of 53.

Thursday should be sunny and 72.
