Livingstone spring football game set for Friday

Staff report

Livingstone College will hold its intrasquad Black and White, spring football game this Friday at 7 p.m., in Alumni Memorial Stadium.

The scrimmage of Blue Bears is open to the public and admission is free.

Livingstone, which went 0-10 overall and 0-7 in the CIAA last year, looks to turn things around this season.

Former North Rowan star Alexis Archie has transferred to Livingstone from a California junior college and is expected to battle for the Blue Bears’ quarterback job.

The Blue Bears kick off the 2018 season on the road on Aug. 30, when they visit Pikeville (Ky.) for a Thursday night (7:00) kickoff.  It will be the first time that Livingstone and Pikeville, a member of the Mid-South Conference, have met on the gridiron.
