To me, Hurley Park is the “gem” of Salisbury because of its beauty and accessibility in the town. I’m grateful to the Hurleys for their foresight in developing this unique park.

I have enjoyed the park many years for walking and exercise and solitude, as well as water color painting of the beautiful scenery. I participated several years as a member of the Carolina Artists Guild in the Hurley Park Spring Festival.

I am sad now because of health problems I need to use a stroller for walking safely and the walker does not do well on gravel paths. I can drive the car but truly wish the paths could be paved.
