Rowan weather: Sunny, windy today, chance of snow over weekend

Today will be almost calm, compared to what the weekend and Monday will bring.

We’ll be dealing with west wind today at 6-11 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. It will be sunny and 49. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 35.

Then it gets complicated.

Saturday brings a 20 percent chance of rain and snow before 1 p.m., with rain after 2 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 56. Southwest wind will be at 3-8 mph.

The chance of rain Saturday night will be 60 percent, with rain before midnight, followed by showers. It will be cloudy and 44 with northeast winds around 5 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.

Sunday has a 90 percent chance of rain, with a mix of showers and steady rain throughout the day. The wind returns, too, from the northeast at 6-11 mph, gusting up to 21 mph. The high will be 49.

For Sunday night, the chance of precipitation is 60 percent, with rain before 3 a.m., then a mix of rain and snow. It will be mostly cloudy and 34.

Monday begins with a 40 percent chance of rain and snow showers, then a chance of rain. It will be partly sunny and 52. Monday night will be mostly clear and cold, with a low of 30.

Tuesday will be sunny and 51, with another cold low of 29.

Wednesday will be sunny and 52, with a low of 31.

And Thursday should be sunny and 55.
