Letter: Remembering Harry Prime

Published 11:52 pm Sunday, March 4, 2018

Remembering big band singer Harry Prime who was born March 5, 1920. A longtime resident of Chalfont, Pennsylvania. Harry sang with the orchestras of Randy Brooks, Jack Fina, Tommy Dorsey and Ralph Flanagan.

He’ll be remembered for his chart-topping hit, “Until,” which he performed with Dorsey and the many other standards he sang and recorded with Ralph Flanagan.

I and the many lovers of big band music offer a Happy Birthday toast to vocalist Harry Prime on what would have been his 98th birthday!
