GRANITE QUARRY — North Rowan Middle School’s jayvee girls won the league championship on Wednesday, defeating previously unbeaten Mooresville, 37-36.

North was led by Brittney Ellis, who had a game-high 22 points. Bailee Goodlett followed with nine points while Demya Phifer added five.

Mooresville was led by Taliyah Brown with 12 points, Brooke Piper’s eight and Cailynn Winford’s six points.
