Local Bridge with Myrnie McLaughlin

Senior Games event

Once again it is time for the 2018 Salisbury-Rowan Senior Games to kick off. Bridge always seems to be the first event. This year it is being held Monday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Oaks. If you plan to compete please register with either Phyllis Kluttz at 704-216-7780 or Myrnie McLaughlin at 704-636-9781 and do it ASAP.

Many of you have questions about how many points are needed to achieve the Life Master level since the ACBL changed the parameters. Here’s the guideline: If you were an ACBL member before Jan. 1, 2010 the old rules of 300 points with a certain mix of Black, Red, Silver, and Gold points apply. But if you joined the ACBL after Jan. 1, 2010 you need to achieve 500 points with a particular mix of Black, Silver, Red and Gold points. For precise parameters, go to the www.ACBL.org website.
