Rowan weather: Windy, then rain tonight

It’s going to be another windy day, and that wind is going to stick around for Friday, too.

Today will be mostly sunny and 58, with southwest wind at 7-14 mph, gusting up to 22 mph.

Tonight, expect a 60 percent chance of rain, mainly between 1 and 3 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 36, with southwest wind at 8-11 mph becoming northwest after midnight and gusting up to 18 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.

Friday starts with lingering rain and snow showers, mostly before 7 a.m. It will become mostly sunny, with a high near 40 and northwest wind at 10-14 mph, with gusts up to 22 mph. Little to no snow accumulation is expected.

Friday night’s low will drop to 19 with north northwest wind at 5-7 mph.

Saturday will be partly sunny, but not very warm, with a high of 41. Wind will be calm in the morning, then at 5-7 mph from the south in the afternoon.

There’s a 30 percent chance of rain and snow between 2 and 4 a.m., followed by a chance of snow and freezing rain overnight Saturday. The low will be 31.

Sunday brings a 90 percent chance of rain or freezing rain before 8 a.m., then mostly rain. The high will be 42.

Rain may mix with snow Sunday night after 11 p.m., with a 40 percent chance of precipitation. The low will be 31, with mostly cloudy skies.

Then Monday will be mostly sunny and 47. The low will be 27.

Tuesday, too, will be mostly sunny and a bit warmer, with a high of 53. A 30 percent chance of rain moves in Tuesday night, with a low of 36.

Wednesday will have a 40 percent chance of rain and will be mostly cloudy and 56.
