Joe and Gina Pinyan of Salisbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amie Patrice, to Riley Peter Gallagher.

Amie is the granddaughter of the late Ellis and Agnes Melton of High Point and the late Buddy and Sylvia Pinyan of China Grove. A 2013 graduate of East Rowan High School, Amie received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, with a concentration in Advertising in 2017 with cum laude honors from Appalachian State University. She is employed at Wrightsville Family Practice in Wilmington.

Riley is the son of Peter and Kimberly Gallagher of Port St. Lucie, Fla. He is the grandson of the late Stephen and Helen Kochiss of Trumbull, Conn., and the late James and Dorothy Gallagher of Fairfield, Conn. A 2011 Salisbury High School graduate, Riley graduated from Appalachian State University in 2016 with cum laude honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics, with a concentration in Business. He is employed by PPD in Wilmington, as a financial analysist.

A Sept. 1, 2018 wedding is planned at The Lofts at Union Square in High Point.
