Broken water main disrupts rush-hour traffic in downtown Salisbury

Crews have been busy all week making repairs to broken water mains in various part of the city due to the subfreezing temperatures and the effects on the pipes. SALISBURY — Crews from Rowan-Salisbury Utilities closed three lanes of Statesville Boulevard at its intersection with West Innes Street on Friday evening during the 5 o’clock rush hour after a water main broke.
Crews have been busy all week making repairs to broken water mains in various part of the city because of the continuting subfreezing temperatures.
