The Salisbury Police Department is accepting applications for its 2018 spring semester college internships.

Police interns will have the opportunity to work and learn alongside officers from both the patrol and investigations divisions.

After completing the internship, students will earn college credit while gaining a greater understanding of what is expected to be an officer with the Police Department.

The intern program is a competitive process. Applicants must have high moral character and a dedication to community-oriented policing. Prospective applicants must be enrolled in college and follow all course expectations.

Applications will be accepted until Jan. 31. They should be directed to Sgt. Justin Crews at Tcrew@salisburync.gov.
