Holy Cross Lutheran

MOCKSVILLE — A service of liturgy and song will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1913 US Highway 601 S, Mocksville. Joseph Valliere will lead worship, with the message being favorite Christmas carols selected by the congregation. Charles Fulton will play the organ and piano.

The Guiding Light Missionary Baptist 

EAST SPENCER — The Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Association will hold Fifth Sunday service on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. The speaker will be the Rev. John E. Jones, moderator. The Guiding Light Convention Center is located at 308 Boundary St.

Word of Life

The New Year’s Eve Celebration “2018 Expecting The Manifestation” will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday. There will be special music, drama, dance and words of encouragement. For additional information or transportation call the church at 704-633-2431. Host pastor is Dr. Martha Starks.

Immanuel Lutheran 

ROCKWELL — Immanuel Lutheran will hold its regular 11 a.m. service on New Year’s Eve Day in reflection of the past year and in anticipation of the new one. Rev. Bruce Sheeks, pastor, will continue his series of sermons on the topic of heaven and Christy Trexler will provide special music. Attendees are requested to wear fun New Year attire.

Ursinus UCC

ROCKWELL — Bring in the New Year with a special service of Prayer and Song on Sunday at 11 a.m. at Ursinus United Church of Christ, 116 West Main St.

Love Christian Center

EAST SPENCER — Love Christian Center, 102 N. Long St. will have a special service, traditionally called Watch Night, on Sunday on the theme of “Living Beyond My Past.” Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. and the service begins at 9 p.m. There will be singing, praise dancers, and poems. James Bailey (JB) will give a special testimony.

Fairview Heights 

Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Road, will hold its annual New Year’s Eve service on Sunday at 10 p.m. The guest speaker is the Rev. Alonza Williams, pastor of Rhema Praise and Worship Center. Host pastor is Rev. Clarence Marlin.

Henderson Grove Missionary Baptist 

A combined Watch Night service will be held at Henderson Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday beginning at 10:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served after midnight. The host pastor is the Rev. Perry J. Dye.

Watch Night Service 

New Year’s Eve Watch Night Service at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Shirley Ave., begins at 10:30 p.m.

The service will include the Creative Expression Ministry, music by the Mount Zion music ministry and messages of empowerment by the Associate Ministers. Entry into the New Year will be led by Dr. Nilous M. Avery II, host pastor. The theme is Living the Promise.

Antioch Missionary, White Rock, New Zion

GRANITE QUARRY — Antioch Missionary Baptist Church will combine with White Rock AME Zion Church and New Zion Baptiost Church for Watch Night services on Sunday. Rev. Thomas Lee, pastor of White Rock AME Zion, will be the speaker. The servcie starts at 10:30 p.m. Host pastor is Rev. Rickey Johnson.
