No wonder business is slow to come to Rowan

On Goodman Lake Road, we have a produce farm, a blueberry farm and a peach farm.

Travis Cauble wants to build a place to build BBQ cookers. His land is surrounded by 75 percent family land. He has done everything right. The Planning Board OK’d it. No neighbors were against it. Then it goes to the county commissioners.

The county has one commissioner who tries to run the whole county. He said it was close to water. The closest water is a branch behind the property. This commissioner wanted to table it for six months. In six months, Cauble could be working out of the building.

No wonder people do not want to bring their business to Rowan County. Maybe he should have said he wanted to put an airplane in it.
