Letter: Save children’s health care

Richard Sorenson’s letter (“Congress blames the wrong people,” in Monday’s Post), makes good points that Congress passes the laws and their funding. And they can make mistakes.
Right now they are on the verge of failing to renew the funds for CHIP, a program that funds basic health care for low-income children. Health care should be a right for all, not just those who can afford it, and this basic health care is vital for low-income children.
Health care is vital for all children, and CHIP funds need to be put forward immediately.
