We’ll refer to the middle school basketball teams as varsity and jayvees.
The varsity teams that are playing now will be mostly eighth-graders, but seventh and even sixth-graders are being allowed to “play up.”
The jayvee season will start after the first of the year. That season will be for players in grades 6-7, but eighth-graders won’t be eligible to play.
The girls will play the first game on Mondays and Tuesdays. The boys will play first on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
