Rowan weather: Dense fog this morning

We are under a dense fog advisory today until 10 a.m., if you haven’t looked outside yet. Patchy fog could linger as late as 11 a.m.

Visibility will be greatly reduced, down to a quarter mile or less in some areas, particularly near the Yadkin River and High Rock Lake.

It will clear gradually today, then become sunny, with a high of 59. Winds will pick up from the north at 5-8 mph this afternoon.

Tonight will be clear and cold, with a low of 38 and north wind at 5-8 mph.

Look for more patchy fog tomorrow morning, then it will become sunny, with a high of 56 and north northeast wind at 5-7 mph.

Tuesday night will be mostly clear and cold again, with a low of 34 and northeast wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 57, with calm wind. The low will be 39 under mostly cloudy skies.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and 64. The low will be 37.

Friday, too, will be mostly sunny, with a high of 57. A mostly cloudy night will have a low of 43.

Unfortunately, Saturday has a 40 percent chance of showers, but it will be partly sunny and 62. A 30 percent chance of showers is possible Saturday night, with a low of 37.

Sunday should be sunny and 54.
