CHARLOTTE — Mark Setzer, of Salisbury, came in second place and won a silver medal in last weekend’s Special Olympics state golf tournament.
Setzer, son of David and Barbara Setzer, shot a 61 for nine holes on Saturday, and followed that up with a 51 on Sunday.
Setzer, who is coached by Jenny Buchanan, will move up to an 18-hole, alternate shot, format in next year’s tournament. Buchanan also awarded Setzer a medal for his efforts last weekend.
