SALISBURY — The Rowan County United Way will host a “Giveback” event on Nov. 8.

From 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Nov. 8, 5 percent of all purchases from the Morgan Ridge Railwalk Brewery and Eatery, 421 N. Lee St., will be donated to the Rowan County United Way for its 2017 fundraising campaign.

Eligible purchases include lunches, afternoon snacks, appetizers, dinner or beverages.

The fundraising goal for this year’s campaign is $1,478,000.

The United Way supports 16 local agencies including: Meals on Wheels of Rowan, Inc., Rufty-Holmes Senior Center, Trinity Living Center, Boy Scouts Central N.C. Council, Communities in Schools of Rowan County, Smart Start Rowan, Rowan County YMCA, Rowan County Youth Services Bureau, American Red Cross, Rowan County Rescue Squad, The Salvation Army, Rowan Vocational Opportunities, The Arc of Rowan, Families First NC Inc., Family Crisis Council and the Rowan County Literacy Council.
