Letter: Tony Hillian for East Spencer

It is with great pleasure I endorse my nephew, Tony Jerome Hillian, for alderman of East Spencer. Tony is a man of God and has always been an active citizen of East Spencer and the surrounding areas.

Tony’s “can do” spirit and abilities to connect with people are key components of who he is and what he can offer to the town of East Spencer as your next alderman.

Tony’s involvement in schools, church and his community makes him a productive product of his community.

When Tony was a teenager, he received a call from BET Networks affirming that it would like to honor him for the Top 10 Teens Around America Award. We all were excited for him being recognized. When BET arrived in East Spencer to present him the award, I observed the crowd of people when he was being filmed for “Teen Show” on BET. It was an honor for not only Tony but for the his family members, church family members and the citizens of East Spencer because I believe we all played a part of him receiving the award.

Tony has a proactive approach to problem solving and obtaining feedback from all parties of an issue or concern. A natural leader, he always finds ways to motivate and inspire others.

I have no doubt Tony Jerome Hillian will perform to the best of his abilities and enhance or improve East Spencer as your next alderman. I recommend him without any hesitation.

Dorothy Hillian Brown
