As Nov. 7 approaches, candidates are beating the streets, attending forums and trying to sell themselves to the citizens to prove they are worthy of the position they are running for. I advise people to vote wisely. Look at the candidates and their behavior before they ran for office. Examine their history and attitudes before campaigning.

Tony Hillian is in the race for alderman of East Spencer. Mr. Hillian can be seen in the community at almost any time, speaking with the citizens, socializing with the elderly and interacting with the children.

Mr. Hillian has a vision for the city of East Spencer. I have spoken with him at length and appreciate his concern for the city and the citizens of East Spencer. He is a strong advocate for the firemen and police officers as well.

I appreciate not only his youth but also his plans to establish new ideas and introduce methods to ensure East Spencer is developing into the city my children will be proud to live in. His mission statement is second to none and he will most definitely be an asset as alderman of East Spencer.

It is without hesitation that I support Tony Hillian as alderman for East Spencer.
