Hopper 50th Anniversary

James Monroe Hopper and Linda Sanders Hopper of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church with family and friends.

The Hoppers were married Oct. 29, 1967 at Ozark Church of God in Alabama by the Rev. Luther Quinley. They are currently and have been foster parents for over 30 years. Jim retired from the National Guard Armory as an officer on Jan. 3, 2005 after serving 39 years. He is a Vietnam veteran.

The couple’s children are sons, Jeff Hopper and wife Lisa of Rockwell and Barry Hopper and wife Ginger of Salisbury; and daughters, Mahaley Jarvis and husband MJ of Salisbury, Misty Smith and Maleah Leppanen. They have 10 grandchildren, Jordan Hopper, Ashton Hopper, Jaydon Hopper, Lee Jarvis, Isabelle Jarvis, John Jarvis, Ivan Jarvis, Mason Smith, Alexis Smith and Nevaeh Leppanen.

The couple enjoy church, camping and spending valuable time with family.
