Young boy receives eye injury from BB gun

SALISBURY — A 7-year-old boy accidentally injured his eye while shooting a BB gun Monday.
The child had a BB pistol and was shooting at the ground when a BB ricocheted and struck him in the right eye, authorities said.
He was taken by ambulance to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, where his condition was unknown.
The accident happened at 6:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Imperial Drive.
