GRANITE QUARRY — A Granite Quarry candidates forum sponsored by the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Legion Building, 300 Legion St.

The forum is for candidates for mayor and two four-year terms on the Granite Quarry Board of Aldermen. Bill Feather is the lone candidate on the ballot for mayor, though there is a write-in effort for Mary S. Ponds.

The six candidates for alderman are Mike Brinkley, Kim Cress, John Linker, Wes Rhinier, Doug Shelton and Arin Wilhelm. Brinkley and Wilhelm are the incumbents.

The night’s moderator will be Frank Goodnight.
