SALISBURY — Salisbury police are searching for a suspect in the robbery of the Rushco convenience store at 2480 Statesville Blvd. on Sunday.

The suspect entered the store about 7 p.m. with something wrapped around his hand and pointed it at the clerk, telling her to give him money or he would shoot her.

She did not open the cash drawer, and he walked behind the counter, picked up the cash register and ran out of the store with it. The suspect  got into a black four-door Ford Explorer and left.

Anyone with information on the suspect, who was caught on surveillance video, is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or CrimeStoppers at 866-639-5245. Tips may be submitted online at tips.salisburyrowancrimestoppers.org.
