SALISBURY — Salisbury Police have arrested a man for stealing two Casino cash registers, two debit cards and $300 in cash from Thelma’s Downtown restaurant Sept. 22.

Charged Saturday with breaking and entering and larceny is Bobby Dearl Locklear, 37, whose address was given as the streets of Salisbury. He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $30,000 bond.

The break-in and larceny happened during the early morning of Sept. 22.

Total value of the items taken, including the cash was $1,002. Locklear’s image reportedly was picked up on a restaurant surveillance camera. When the suspect could not pry open the main cash register, he unplugged it and took it with him, a recording showed.
