MISENHEIMER — Pfeiffer University has enrolled the largest undergraduate class in more than 30 years and increased incoming graduate students by 65 percent.

The freshman class grew by 29 percent compared to last year. Overall undergraduate enrollment increased by 4 percent.

The increase in enrollment also includes the largest Honors College class in the history of the university on the main campus.

The undergraduate student body includes students from 17 states and 20 countries.

Pfeiffer’s graduate enrollment increase does not include the second fall start date, which is still accepting students.

“Pfeiffer is on the rise, and students are excited to join the Pfeiffer family,” said university President Colleen Perry Keith. “With small class sizes, a personal education experience and first-class faculty, students are able to see the Pfeiffer difference.

“In addition to our increase in enrollment, we look forward to serving students in our new state-of-the-art Charlotte campus and our upcoming Center for Health Sciences facility in Albemarle.”
