Go Burrito announces franchise expansion in Florida
Staff report
SALISBURY — Go Burrito plans to open four franchises in Florida over the next two years, according to a news release in QSR Magazine.
Go Burrito, at 115 W. Fisher St., has been open for almost five years and has built up a loyal following in Salisbury.
The Florida franchisee is Brad Harper, a local entrepreneur with “decades of restaurant experience,” according to the news release.
Go Burrito owner Mikey Wetzel said that franchising “takes a lot of time, a lot of effort, and a sizable investment.” But he said it’s exciting to see it all come together.
“There’s a lot of work ahead for us, but we’ve been preparing for this for a while now,” Wetzel said. “I hope to learn as much from my franchisees as they learn from me. Franchising really is about building a family, and this gets our brand off to a great start.”
Wetzel said he thinks Florida will be a good home for the restaurant franchises.
“Go Burrito has always had a beachy, laid-back vibe, and Florida is just a perfect fit,” Wetzel said.
