CHINA GROVE — Saturday-Sunday Sept. 23-24: Experience Alpacas up close, feel the fleece, tour the farm, view live demonstrations, learn about raising and breeding and shop at the boutique during Happy Tails’ Family Fun Day.
Happy Tails Alpaca Farm is located at 9855 Old Concord Road, at the corner of Paulownia Drive and Old Concord Road.
Hors are Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Opening reception for artist Don Moore
WINSTON-SALEM— Artist Don Moore of Salisbury will exhibit new paintings featured in Winston-Salem gallery in Winston-Salem in September and October. Contemporary Nudes and Semi-Abstract Landscapes will be shown in oil, pastel, and conte. Moore is a member of the Plein Air Carolina Group in Rowan County and a Life Drawing Group with the Mooresville Artists Guild.
An opening reception for the artist will be held Friday, Sept. 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Hampton House Art and Framing, 720 Coliseum Drive. The public is invited. The show is available until Oct. 20.
