MISENHEIMER — Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pfeiffer University are bringing Greek life to the college campus.

“We are thrilled that Kappa will be our first Greek-letter organization,” says Pfeiffer President Colleen Keith. “We wanted to find new ways to enhance student engagement on campus. Our administration believes adding Greek life will provide unique and positive experiences for our students.”

The process of establishing a Greek-letter community at Pfeiffer began last year. Pfeiffer reached out to all National Panhellenic Conference groups, and Kappa was one of several to express interest.

Over the past few months, Kappa and Pfeiffer have worked together to educate students about membership in Greek-letter organizations. With strong interest among students, Pfeiffer and Kappa agreed to move forward.

“We are so excited to be working with Pfeiffer to bring Greek life to the campus,” says Beth Black, fraternity president. “Their administration has a strong, strategic vision for the university. Their students are passionate and eager to achieve their goals. We believe this is the perfect campus for us to start our next chapter.”

Kappa has held informational meetings on campus this week and will meet with prospective members throughout the rest of the month.  Charter members will be initiated and the chapter will be installed in November.
