Spencer police charge local teenager with vehicle break-ins

SPENCER — The Spencer Police Department has identified a local man as the person they believe broke into cars and stole firearms in May.

Police arrested Jameon Kentrell Sanders, 16, of the 300 block of East Torbush Drive, East Spencer.

Warrants were issued Wednesday, and Sanders was arrested at this home the next day.

Sanders was charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and three counts of felony larceny of a firearm.

He was issued a $50,000 secured bond and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Spencer police were assisted in the case by the Salisbury Police Department, Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and East Spencer Police Department.
