Once again this fall, Historic Salisbury Foundation is selling chrysanthemums and pansies in advance of OctoberTour.

It has become an autumn tradition in much of Salisbury to display mums on porches, front steps and storefronts during the season. A portion of each sale of mums supports Historic Salisbury Foundation’s preservation efforts.

While yellow is a popular color of mums for OctoberTour, bronze and burgundy mums also are available. Orders need to be placed with Historic Salisbury Foundation by Sept. 22.

The foundations also is selling flats of pansies containing 36 in assorted colors.

People can order mums and pansies online at www.octobertour.com/buy-mums, by calling the HSF office at 704-636-0103 or by coming to the office at Salisbury Station.

There is a change in the normal pick-up schedule.

The pickup for all plants is scheduled for the afternoon of  Sept. 29 or from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 30 at Salisbury Station, 215 Depot St.
