Rowan weather: Showers give way to sun

A little light rain has fallen this morning, and scattered showers are possible again after 5 p.m., with a 30 percent chance of precipitation.

Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high of 78 and southwest wind at 5-7 mph.

Tonight also has a 30 percent chance of showers, then patchy fog will form around 1 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 61 with calm wind.

The fog may linger as late as 9 a.m. Friday, but it will be a mostly sunny day with a high of 80 and calm wind. Friday night will be partly cloudy and 61.

It’s a busy weekend in Rowan County, with lots of stuff to do, ranging from Germanfest to Biker Blues & BBQ, and it should be a nice one.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and 83 with light north wind. The low will be 62 under partly cloudy skies.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and 83 again, with another low of 62.

Monday will be mostly sunny and 82, with a low of 62.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 82 again, with the same low of 62.

Wednesday should be mostly sunny, with a high of 84.

Remember, the first day of fall is not until Sept. 22.
